Chateau
Konopiste - a tour to one
of the most beautiful Czech chateaux, founded in the 13th century
and rebuilt in 1880s for the Successor to the Austrian throne, Franz
Ferdinand d'Este and his family. He was killed in Sarajevo in 1914
and the event helped Austria declare war on Serbia - the start of
WWI.
The castle houses fascinating collections of historical weapons
as well as unforgettable collections of hunting tropheys of some
300,000 shot animals. Three guided tours are available in this castle,
the saloon, the armouries and the private rooms. Decorations are
in the style of Art Deco, richly combined with hunting equipment
and pictures from the successor's world journeys.

Karlstejn
Castle - a tour to the
famous Czech castle founded by Charles IV in 1346 as a vault for
the Czech Coronation Jewels. The castle has always kept its majestic
appearance over the valley as the symbol of Czech state independence.
The beautiful view of the castle is offered from many places in
the surrouding hills covered by woods and meadows.
Legend says, "Women were not allowed to stay in the castle overnight".
YOumay want to discover why. On the way up to the castle you can
enjoy the bright choice of souvenir stands selling Czech Crystal,
hand made articrafts and much more.Cars are not allowed to access
to the castle, however, there is the option of using a horse-drawn
carriage.

Kutna
Hora - ( UNESCO listed
town ) a trip through Bohemian history. In the 13th century, rich
veins of silver were found in the hills of this town, and the Royal
Central Mint was established here. The beautiful cathedral of St.
Barbara and many other historical buildings ( such as Stone Fountain,
Italian Court ) are worth the trip.
Walking through the little streets of this town will make you feel
time has stopped, some five centuries ago. One of the most impressive
is the Bone
Church with skeletal artifacts. It incorporates every
bone in the human body. Also, a guided visit to the top floor (
30m ) of the originally 500 m deep mine from 15th century is worth
the trip.

Theresienstadt
( Terezin ) - a trip to
the memorial of the Holocaust. In the late 18th century, the Emperor
Josef II. had a Barock army fortress built in the honor of his mother's
name. In the early 1940s, the Nazis established here a transit ghetto,
which served as"a model"a for International Red Cross officials
on inspection visits... The town has got two parts, the Small Fortress,
a former Nazi prison and the Large Fortress that served as the ghetto
for Czech and Moravian Jewish population. Through this camp,some
150,000 European Jewish prisoniers eventually passed on their way
to extermination camps.

Cesky
Krumlov - ( UNESCO listed
town ) a trip to a little town, forgotten by time, perched on a U-bend
at the bottom of the Vltava river. It is almost as if a bubble was
placed around one entire medieval village from 1600s, and the whole
town was moved through the ages, right to the present day. The city
is dominated by its castle, which is located at the top of a sheer
granite cliff, but also contains the second most important collection
of historical monuments in the Czech Republic. For this reason this
town has become a popular destination for artists, tourists, lovers
and honeymooners.
Narrow cobblestone lanes, underground taverns lurk under the shadow
of a massive castle, built by the Duke of Eggenberg and completed
with a bear-filled moat. This little, fully preserved Renaissance
town is a Mecca for all who enjoy the pristine surroundings and the
intense beauty of the town and the countryside. |

Carlsbad
Spa ( Karlovy Vary ) -

history, some of the most important people in Europe spent time
recuperating here. Mozart himself basked in the hot springs of this
town, founded by Charles IV in 1350s, along with Beethoven, Dvorak,
Goethe, Tolstoy, Chopin or Peter The Great.
Many personalities come every year to the well-known Film Festival
held here. Two delicacies widely reknown in the Czech Republic are
made here - the green-bottled herbal liqueur Becherovka and the
wafer-cookies of slightly bland character. The town is also home
to the world-know Moser Glass factory. There are twelve curative
springs in the centre of the pedestrian spa area - the Collonade,
where tasting is possible.
